Non Candy and Healthy Halloween Treats to Hand Out
It doesn’t always have to be Halloween candy that you give out to those Trick or Treaters arriving at your door. After all, kids enjoy other little goodies too.
So make a stop at the discount store near you and pick up a few different items to throw into the goody bags for a change. Or rustle up some healthy Halloween treats to hand out that will still be fun for kids, even if they don’t realise they aren’t stuffed with sugar!
Healthy Halloween Treats Ideas

These Halloween treats are all healthier options than packets of sweets and bars of chocolate, but still look great and fit the bill for items you can hand out easily to your doorstep callers.
- Take satsumas, tangerines or little oranges, and draw faces on them with a Sharpie pen in black to make the look like pumpkins.
- Popcorn balls in paper cones or twists of baking paper decorated with Halloween stamps
- Juice boxes or drink pouches or mini water bottles are great for handing out, after all it’s thirsty work Trick or Treating! Decorate them with googly eyes for a bit of extra fun.
- Make your own trail mix and put into little bags decorated with orange and black ribbons
- Snack-sized packs of pretzels or crackers
- Gruesome Witches Fingers
- Real fruit strips, ropes or Fruit Winders
- Mini raisin boxes
- Banana chips
- String cheese – with ghost faces drawn on
- Vitamin C lollipops
- Squeezable yogurt pouches or tubes
- Bags of mini carrots
- Sugar-free gum (for older kids) – great for cleaning the teeth after all the sweets too!
